Today, Brian Rieger and I made the announcement that we have launched a new B2B content marketing company specific to the mortgage loan origination industry. I’m proud to be serving as Chief Operating Officer for Content Beacon.
He’s right. We do have a lot on our plates. We actually like it that way. But it’s also true that we work very well together.
That started way back when we worked together at October Research. Brian was my producer for the Title Radio series I recorded with Joe Casa. We’ve been friends ever since.
Over the years, we’ve collaborated on a number of successful projects. Recently, we realized that our approach to content marketing was almost identical.
Our visions for the future of the industry were also very similar. We both see content marketing becoming a bigger part of every firm’s marketing efforts, but especially so on the B2B side.
We’re also seeing more marketing companies recruiting inexperienced writers and deploying them in technical industries where more experience is required. This has the potential to cause problems that could lead many in-house marketers to question the whole concept of content marketing.
But as Brian pointed out earlier today, people don’t want to be pitched anymore. They want to make better decisions for their companies based on solid information that comes to them from trusted sources. There is a science behind building trust.
We’ll both continue to do what we do for our favorite clients, but we’re building out the infrastructure required to make Content Beacon the B2B marketing utility this industry needs. Feel free to reach out to me with questions at rick@contentbeacon.com.
